Dear Sister
Thank you for all the blessings you shared with the world, I will carry them near my heart through all of my time.
Baamaapii -Till we meet again 🦋
I awoke one morning singing the song The trumpets are blowing this morning again. I truly believe our sister Arlene endured all her trials with courage and faith and is now receiving her reward.
While the heavens rejoice at her coming home her family and all who love her naturally feel sorrow. My prayers go out to them . She will always be remembered every time we sing the wonderful songs of Zion
What a beautiful legacy of hope our Sister Arlene has left for us to enjoy as we all seek a brighter dawn. I’m thankful our dear Sister allowed herself to be used as instrument to God’s glory, and to encourage the people of God in these latter days.
In the early 1990s we spent a long afternoon talking with Sister Arlene and learning about the gift of the Songs. Never before could I remember a time that changed my life as completely as that day. Since that time my joy for the latter day glory through The Songs of Zion has led me, uplifted me in my darkest times and brought my spirit great peace. My son who couldn’t speak for his first few years of life began to sing “I Left It There.” His very first words. Truly many sorrows have been left behind through The Songs of Zion. Losing Sister Arlene, God’s vessel, is a tremendous loss. But thank God for the gift she brought to us all. Love to the family forever.
One of my memories is when Sister Arlene, Brother Bob Buffington and Brother Eugene came to Chattahoochee, FL to my parents Brother Cleve and Sister Margaret Baldwin’s home, and as we sat around the piano listening to The Songs of Zion being taught to us, the song was played, “Cut Her Loose “. The Spirit of God was so strong in that room, we couldn’t stop singing for some time, and my mother, Sister Margaret Baldwin from that day forward, named Sister Arlene, ” Sister Cut Her Loose”. So many Great memories but this one is forever loved ❤💙. One day my mother called Sister Arlene and said, ” Sister Cut Her Loose, This is Sister Tied Up calling ” 💙❤ We will always love and cherish each memory of our Sister Arlene ❤💙.
I feel beyond blessed to have known and spent time with Sis. Arlene over the years. Her example as a quiet, meek, and humble servant of God is second to none. While she didn’t cross Zion’s borderline in this life, her legacy, steadfast devotion, and visionary spirit will continue to inspire the saints of God for generations to come “to seek to bring forth Zion.” Thank you Sis. Arlene for allowing God to use you in such a marvelous way to bless TCOJC and the world with a message of hope, peace, and redemption through Jesus Christ our Lord. Because of your dedication to the work of God, we now have a better understanding of the fullness of God’s Kingdom upon the earth! We love you Sis. Arlene!
Thank you Sister Arlene for sharing your gift of hope to see the kingdom of Jesus and The Songs of Zion that changed our lives, “for where there is no vision the people perish”.❤️ They truly helped me find “My Place”.
I don’t know why she had to go but I know god has plans for her and it breaks my heart that I have to see her go and I am so thankful to have known her. She has been and inspiration on my life. Her and my Uncle Bob are dancing in rejoice. I had a dream the night before she passed away and I saw him standing there, preaching and he raised his hand like he would when he would preach, and he yelled “HALLELUJAH” but I just thank god for having a small piece of them and sister Arlene we miss you forever and always but the Songs Of Zion live on for now and many more years to come.
I met sister Arlene as a young man and over the following 40 years grew more and more thankful for the beautiful and truly unique gift the Lord blessed her with. I’m honored to have known her and to have the joy of singing the Songs of Zion as a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ. The Songs of Zion are a gift to His Church, to be shared, song, and treasured. Her humility and love for Jesus, His people, and His Church was evident and felt in every interaction with her and with her late husband, Evangelist Bob Buffington. Both, helped strengthen my spiritual walk with Christ.
